Welcome to Department of Exercise and Health Science

The Department of Exercise and Health Science (EHS) was founded in 2002 in the National Taipei College of Nursing (currently known as National Taipei University of Nursing and Health Sciences). The graduate program of EHS, including full-time (found in 2015) and in-service (found in 2006) master degree programs, provides the opportunity for people to improve both academic and professional work-related skills that can promote exercise and health knowledge to the public.
Objectives
The Department integrates the knowledge of exercise/sports and health science. It offers the following two degree programs, including the bachelor’s and master's degrees.
1. Bachelor’s Degree Program
EHS offers a comprehensive program in the study of exercise/sports and health science to help you prepare for professions involving human movement and for graduate study in related fields.
2. Full-time and In-service Master’s Degree Program
With the academic training in research method, statistics, and related core courses, students have to finish master’s thesis before graduating. The related study areas include the sports science (ex. physiology and psychology), health and disorder behaviors, health evaluations, experiment-related programs, and so on.
Characteristics:
1. Teaching Characteristics
The Department has a fitness center, energetic force laboratory for exercise physiology , magic power laboratory for mind-body balance, and vitality laboratory for health promotion. The faculty provides complete healthcare knowledge and adequate exercise/sports prescriptions primarily focusing on females, the elderly, and patients with chronic diseases. This not only fits the University’s demands on healthcare and medical care systems, but also helps students to develop specialties and diverse interests.

2. Teachers
The faculty is recruited from various academic and professional areas in exercise/sports and health promotion, physical education, and public health.
